REPRESENTING

2 Cor. 5:17-21

Several months ago, I saw a very cool photograph of a very cool lady who happens to be one of my beloved daughters. It was a very exquisite pose, very royal and she appeared amazingly beautiful. She wrote alongside the photograph a statement which is the topic of today's blog 'representing'. I looked at that photo and I wondered and I'm still wondering, what was she representing? God? Her family? Her office? Herself? Or Her peers?

2 Cor. 5:17 says that if anyone belongs to Christ or is in Christ, he has become a new person. He is a new creation. The old life is gone, a new life has begun. Old things are passed away and all things are become new. In other words, if you are in Christ or if you are born again; you have a new placement in God.

Your position in life matters a lot. If you are wrongly positioned, you will be wrongly placed. It is your position that determines your placement. Every one in the world wants to be highly placed, but few people consider where they are positioned. There is a place for you in destiny, but getting there depends on your divine positioning in Christ.

2 Cor. 5:17 says "if anyone be in Christ". . Your position IN CHRIST will determine your placement in life. In Him lies the fulness of God and He alone determines how high we can be placed in life. See Col. 2:9-10; and Acts 17:24-26.

On a general note, our rightful placement in Christ is revealed in 2 Cor. 5: 20 and this scriptures says: "We are Christ's Ambassadors".

An Ambassador is an envoy sent to represent a nation to a foreign land. He is a diplomatic agent of the highest rank accredited to a foreign Government or King. He is an authorized messenger who has the power to speak on behalf of his sender, to make decisions and to represent the will of the government, nation or King he represents.

According to 2 Cor. 5: 20, we are heavenly delegates; ambassadors who have been sent forth as Heaven's representatives to planet earth. We are the voice of Heaven. As God's Ambassadors, we are authorized to speak and act on behalf of God. We have been fully backed and we are fully funded, fully defended and fully assisted by the authority and resources of heaven. See Ps. 115:16; Mt. 28:18 and Lk 10:19.

The question then is, if you are Christ's Ambassador, are you representing? You represent Christ to your family, to your place of employment, to your neighborhood and to the World at large. You have been invested with royal powers including the name of Jesus, the authority of the Blood and you can call Heaven to assist you at any time. All the Angelic powers and all the vast resources stored in the treasury of Heaven are available for your use as Christ's Ambassadors and you enjoy diplomatic immunity here on earth. The honor, majesty, dominion and powers of heaven have been vested in you!

As you continue your journey in life as a Christian, let this revelation sink into your spirit that you are an Ambassador representing Christ. All of Heaven is standing to fully support you. You are an Ambassador of the King of Kings on earth and all authority of heaven has become vested in you. Go ahead an walk in dominion and represent Him well!

Apostle Paul once said: "follow me as I follow Christ". He doggedlyfollowed Christ's example of soul winning. In Luke 13:22 scripture says that Christ "went through the cities and villages, teaching and journeying toward Jerusalem". Before He asks us to do something, He Himself had already done it (Acts1:1). He has given us the instruction in Mark 16:15 to GO INTO ALL THE WORLD! So what are you waiting for? Get on the road to soul winning!

An American  president once said "ask not what your Country should do for you, but rather what you should do for your Country". This statement holds true in God's Kingdom. We all have needs from God, but do we know that God has needs that only us can meet? God is hungry but not for physical food. Read the story in John chapter 4 and you will understand.

Jesus rested at the Well in Sychar Samaria, He was hungry but His disciples thought a meal of Macdonalds will sort Him out. Off to the eatery they went, but unknown to them, Jesus had a meal coming to Him-the Woman coming to the Well with an empty bucket.

Beloved, there are empty souls looking for something to fill their emptiness. The Woman thought Men would fill her emptiness, but after 5 husbands, she was still as empty as ever. Jesus strategically stayed there to fill her up with the fountain of living water. She was the food Jesus was hungry for. He met her needs and He became satisfied. The Disciples cameback with Big Mac, but Jesus was already filled.

God is hungry for souls, the empty souls, the lost and unchurched. Go out there and bring them to Jesus. Go ahead and meet the needs of God. Stop boring Him with your empty works and services. he's had enough of your empty religion. He is looking to you to meet His needs for the lost.

Dont focus on your needs anymore, go meet His needs. Go fill Gods hunger with Souls.

The real purpose for which Christ established the Church has been lost in translation. The Church of Christ has become in-reach oriented instead of reaching out to the lost, the unchurched and the dying world. Lets re-order our priorities and begin to put first things first. Live everyday with a passion for souls. Go Ye! Not stay Ye!

Go into the world-the world around you and begin to turn hearts of men back to God. Give yourself a target of at least one soul per day.

Whats wrong with Christians especially those of us from the "born again" extraction? We know God's Words, instructions, dos and donts; but we deliberately do the opposite. I'm one of those who believestrongly that we are ultimately responsible for our actions. We can't hold the devil responsible. He who knows what to do and does the wrong thing, it becomes a sin. There are established principles of Gods Word for instance in the area of finance. If you adhere, there are benefits and if you ignore them, there are consequences.Yet Christians do the opposite and yet expect the Blessing hiding under Grace; but shall we continue in Sin and expect Grace to abound? God forbid! Let's obey for there is no other way.
